“I’m a playmaker,” said Yeutter, who “always had a ball” growing up. “I love to make plays for my team. You work together as a team to get the W.”
Make plays is exactly what Yeutter does. Each game, he finds a different way to contribute. Yeutter has recorded 7 or more boards in at least 4 games, 1 or more block in at least 6 games, and 3 or more assists in at least 5 games.
“My shooting and dribbling,” replied Yeutter when asked about the most improved aspects of his game. “I really worked on my 3 pointers and jump shot to be ready for this season.”
In his 25-point game vs. SSSAS, Yeutter connected on a season-high 6 treys. He is also shooting over 87% from the foul line this season.
“I love locking guys down. keeping in front,” said Yeutter, who believes he’s an underrated defender. “Getting steals to make plays on offense is big for me.”
Yeutter, who sports a very solid 3.75 GPA at Bullis, played up with the 17U Team Legacy team that won the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest. During this live period event, a handful of division one coaches took note of Yeutter’s performance and have made contact.
“I probably need to work on dribbling even more. There are good guards in this league. They put a lot of pressure on us up front,” Yeutter said about what aspect of his game he’s working to improve. “The better at dribbling you are, the easier it is to deal with pressure.”
What can coaches interested in recruiting Yeutter expect him to bring to a college program?
“I can play defense on good guards, and make plays for my teammates to score and get them the ball when they need it.”
