A point guard that can pass and score the ball, Roustic is a strong defender and averages several steals per game.
He spent the offseason working out and playing for the Kansas City Pacers and said the experience help make him into a well-rounded player.
“During the summer I worked out a lot with trainers from the KC Pacers organization, really trying to have muscle memory for my shot to get a better release,” Roustic said.
Blue Springs South is off to a 7-7 start and are competitive team that has faced a brutal schedule throughout the early portion of the season.
“We love to play with each other and is willing to do whatever it takes to win,” Roustic said. “Our Defense this year has really stood out getting numerous steals per game.”
Roustic says he is looking forward to a match-up against Blue Springs on Jan. 27 and 2018 guard RJ Lawrence.
“He’s a great player and it’s always fun matching up and playing against him,” Roustic said.
Roustic said his parents and coaches have had the biggest influence on his basketball career.
“They’re always pushing me to the next level and making sure I’m always thriving to be the best,” he said.
A fan of Kentucky freshman De’Aaron Fox, Roustic says he has tried to imitate some of the point guard’s moved.
“He is a player I love watching,” Roustic said. “He can do both make plays for himself and for his teammates. I often try to imitate some of his moves to get past defenders.”
Roustic said he currently does not hold any offers, but has been in contact with Harris-Stowe and has plans to visit the school in January.
