C Jalen Shaw (Larkin)
Shaw moved to the top ranked center in the state with his play during the first half of the high school season. He has always had the size at 6’9” with plus length to be it, but the game wasn’t there. Now it is! He has shown much more fluidity with his post moves especially his jump hook. Runs the floor great and is looking to dominate defensively. Jumped from #25 to #13. Mid-major to low-major prospect.
PF Zion Griffin (Hinsdale South)
Griffin is the first of our new debuts on this list making his initial ranking at #24. Griffin is a 6’5” lefty power forward that can face up and attack from mid-range. Solid area rebounder with upside. Low-major prospect.
PF Barlow Alleruzo (Sandburg)
Alleruzo jumped on our radar at the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic. He stands at 6’8” with plus athleticism and runs the floor great. Offensively he is best right now shooting it from deep. The face up four man has the potential to move up from his debut #31 ranking. Low-major kid.
PF Skyler Kooyenga (Warren)
Kooyenga greatly impressed in multiple camp settings back in the fall. He has tremendous size at 6’9” with the ability to space the floor with his shot while also flashing post skill. Makes jump into rankings at #46.
PF Isaiah Thompson (Massac County)
Thompson is a bouncy power forward at 6’5” that makes an impact with his motor and energy. Runs the floor great, rebounds, and plays hard which leads him to being around the ball constantly. He debuts at #72.
