F Eric Krus (Vianney – 2017)
Krus is a 6’6” combo forward with a good build and solid length. The forward moves well without the ball to get open with aggressive cuts. Gets on the offensive glass for put back opportunities. Runs the floor extremely well and can hit a face up jumper on occasion. Blocked several shots. He had 17 points.
SG Cam Potts (Webster Groves – 2017)
Potts stands at 6’1” and plays really hard. Quality athlete that just has a nose for the basketball. Seemed to always be around the ball making plays. Athleticism plays well getting to the rim in transition and had some acrobatics around the hoop to finish. Potts went for 13 points.
SG Chris Teahan (Rockhurst – 2017)
Teahan is a 6’5” wing that is a quality athlete. Smooth perimeter shooter that can hit them from three both pulling up and off the bounce. He has a quick release with repeatable mechanics. Could potentially be a D2 prospect in the right fit.
SG Reggie Crawford (Chaminade – 2017)
Crawford will play D1 football, but could very easily be a hoops recruit at the same level. The 6’4” shooting guard is a standout spot up perimeter shooter from three. Also is slippery through traffic with a sneaky first step allowing him to get in the lane for scores. Crawford went for 13 points.
PG Courtney Ramey (Webster Groves – 2018)
It was a bit of a slow start for the elite 2018 point guard, but once he got it going late in the second quarter he was rolling. The junior has great size, athleticism, and a tremendous basketball IQ. Ramey understands the game and when to pick his spots to score and pass. Made several nice dishes throughout the game. Was a bit streaky with the jumper, but hit several throughout the contest including some pull up threes and mid-range shots. Also used his explosive speed off the bounce to get in the lane where he scored including a runner for the game winner. Ramey also got his teammates involved and was a sound rebounder. He had 21 points, 4 dimes, and 7 rebounds. Elite high-major prospect.
SF Jericole Hellems (Chaminade – 2018)
Hellems continues to elevate his recruiting stock with consistent high level performances during his junior season. Hellems has legit size at 6’6” with a strong body and broad shoulders. He is a wing that is wired to score at all three levels. I like how Hellems can be a mismatch guy against different defenders. He does a great job of carving out space on the interior for scores. Plus perimeter shooter that hit threes from all over the floor. Quality passer that is more than willing to make the extra pass for a better shot. Hellems had 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. He is a mid-major to mid-major plus prospect.
SF Karrington Davis (Chaminade – 2018)
Davis is a very projectable 6’6” wing prospect. The small forward that a strong body along with big time athleticism. Contributes across the board stuffing the stat sheet. Davis can score at all three levels and when we saw him early in the season was a lethal perimeter shooter. In this contest he worked more inside sealing off his defender and carving out space in the paint for scores. Got on the glass well on both ends. Quick second jump allows him to get on the offensive glass. Did hit one wing three. Sound passer that looked good in the pick/roll. Defensively his athleticism plays well defending both inside and out with his length causing havoc blocking shots. He had 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Mid-major plus/high-major prospect.
PG Xavier Rhodes (Rockhurst – 2018)
Rhodes is an intriguing prospect. He stands at about 6’2” with a long and rangy frame. Thin build and will definitely need to add strength going forward. Attacks the hoop with smooth acceleration. Plus ball handler that got where he wanted on the floor. Can score with runners in the lane or pull up shots. Also sneaky rebounder with a quick second jump. He had 23 points. Should be on the low-major radar.
SG Ray Adams (Webster Groves – 2019)
Adams is a 6’2” guard that is a shooting specialist. He can really let it fly from the perimeter. Plus shooter off the catch with a clean release. He had 12 points.
PF Dylan Ridhnal (Rockhurst – 2019)
At 6’4” this sophomore is mostly a post. He is a long and athletic kid that should continue to grow at least a couple more inches. Quick around the hoop and is a shot blocking presence. Upside prospect.
