MONDAY: N/A
TUESDAY: Fort Wayne Blackhawk vs. Homestead – 7:30 PM ET
Even with the loss of Drake Thompson, Blackhawk has a legit chance of competing for the 1A State Title. Homestead will be about the best matchup they will face the rest of the season and they have a trio of seniors that are all having a really solid season thus far. This will be a good barometer of how good Blackhawk can be.
WEDNESDAY: Cathedral vs. Carmel – 7:30 PM ET
With the Marion County Tournament going on, the Cathedral vs. Carmel game always seems to get lost in the shuffle but this is a great matchup. Carmel is playing really well lately and has been handling some of the top teams in the state outside of their two losses to New Albany and North Central. Cathedral has been better than their 8-4 record suggests. This will be a test, though.
THURSDAY: South Bend Adams vs. South Bend Washington – 7:30 PM ET
South Bend Adams has been one of the surprise teams in the state. They are currently riding a 7-game winning streak with the back half of their schedule being much easier than the first part. Washington is a young group that has won the games they were supposed to. This will be a tough matchup for them but it is also a test for Adams to see if they can keep the momentum going heading into a soft three game stretch.
FRIDAY: McCutcheon vs. Logansport – 7:30 PM ET
While the semifinals of the Marion County Tournament will be going on, this Logansport vs. McCutcheon game is probably the most interesting. This matchup last year was the game that killed Logansport’s momentum and winning streak. This game also propelled McCutcheon into the stretch run of the season and helped them on their way to the State Finals. Both teams are back and loaded with seniors, ready to each take control of their destiny. Should be one of the more intriguing matchups all season.
SATURDAY: Marion County Championship – 7:00 PM ET
The Marion County Tournament is always one of the best events all year because of the quality of talent. This year, the draw is a bit lopsided with Lawrence North, Warren Central, Ben Davis, and North Central all on one side. Roncalli, Pike, and Park Tudor look like the favorites on the bottom half of the bracket which could setup a really fun Saturday matchup against one of the top teams in the state. Pike always seems to do well in this event so don’t count them out.
