At 6’9, 210-pounds Wilson already he holds three NCAA Division I offers despite picking up the game as an eighth-grader and spending his freshman season on the junior varsity.
This year, he has teamed with five star 2017 football recruit Chester Graves to form an intimidating front line and along with a standout backcourt, the Trojans have opened the season 12-3, including tournament championships at Liberty North and William Jewell.
“My high school team is pretty good because we are big and have pretty good guards,” Wilson said. “I expect to win.”
Wilson is an imposing figure defensively in the paint, and at the offensive end of the court he shows a nice shooting touch out to the 3-point line as well as the ability to finish with authority.
Playing this summer for the Kansas City Pacers, Wilson showcased a diverse skill set. He can thrown down the rim-rocking dunk in traffic, or scoop up a rebound or loose ball and go coast-to-coast. He says he spent a lot of the summer working on his left hand and his jump hook to give him scoring options in the paint.
“I would describe my game as a player that can post people up knock down open shots and finish in transition,” Wilson said.
Wilson currently holds offers from Kansas State, Wichita State and Tulsa, and has drawn interest from several high major programs, including North Carolina and Mizzou.
