MVP: Nic Claxton (2017)- The 6-foot-11 forward for Legacy Charter was his usual self. Long, athletic and smooth. He finished with 19 points on the afternoon. He is great off teh dribble for his size and is so good at anticpating the pass or the getting a blocked shot. Mark Fox and Georgia are getting a good one in Claxton.
Nic ClaxtonOffensive MVP: Rayshawn Neal (2017)- Born and raised in Charlotte, Neal is a strong workhorse. He is powerful, has a quick change of pace along with a quick first step. He can get to the rim and has a really good shot. The lefty scored 17 points for Legacy Charter today.
Best Underclassman: CJ Jamison (2019)- The sophomore was very impressive for Legacy Charter. Good shooter, knows and understands the game with the angles and where to put the basketball. He will be one to track.
Best Underclassman Part 2: Eric Wilson (2019)- The skilled sophomore showed a good stroke from deep, made good shot selections, and was overall a smooth player. he scored 11 points while making 3-three point shots.
Best Shooter: CJ Jamison (2019)- Knocked down 3 three-point shots on the afternoon.
Game Changer: The score was 25-20 Legacy. At the start of the second half, Legacy went on a 12-2 run in the first 3 minutes to make the score 37-22 and Covenant Christian never got much closer.
Baby Barkley: Chris Agbo (2017)- The big man for Covenant Christian is 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds. He looks a lot like a younger Charles Barkley. He Has signed with Tallahassee CC (FL) Seemed to be playing with knees that were really bothering him and had to sit a a lot .
Moving Forward: Legacy Charter moves to 17-6 on the season. The Lions play a 48 game schedule so the season is just half-way over for them.
Best Passer: Rayshawn Neal (2017)- The floor general always made the right pass whether it was in transition or penetrating the lane for the easy dish. He should be on a lot of college radars.
Defensive MVP: Nic Claxton (2017)- The future Gerogia Bulldog can block shots with the best of them. He is so skileld at knowing when a shot is going and long that he makes it look easy.
