Sherif Kenney was the catalyst for his team on both ends of the floor. He swiped three steals, and also hit the boards with purpose.

BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | WILL BOUNDS | BHS ’18
Will Bounds was on fire in this game. The 6’7 junior forward hit 8 of his 12 field goal attempts, including 5 of 8 from downtown.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | SHERIF KENNEY | RCCA ’19
In addition to his steals and effort on the glass, Kenney also drew two charges in this game. Kenney showed he wasn’t afraid to put his body on the line as the point guard and leader of his team.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | WILL BOUNDS | BHS ’18
Almost forgot that Bounds, who grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with his game-high 21 points, came off the bench in this one. The kid is flat out productive.
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | JON PRESTON | RCCA ’18
There are so many things to like about Jon Preston. The crafty junior made five of his six field goals in the paint, and stuffed the stat sheet in a number of categories.
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | CARTER SVENSON | BATTLEFIELD ’20
It will be fun to watch Carter Svenson develop over the next four years. “The Professor” did a nice job handling pressure, and used his impressive vision to consistently find open teammates.
BEST INTANGIBLES | JON PRESTON | RCCA ’18
Something about Preston screams poise. He uses ball fakes, finishes at weird angles around the basket, and stuffs the stat sheet while taking care of the ball.
BEST REBOUNDER | WILL BOUNDS | BHS ’18
Bounds had some nice defensive rebounds, and used his strong hands to effectively secure the ball in traffic. His effort didn’t waver on the offensive end either, where he virtually could not be boxed out.
BEST STORY TO WATCH MOVING FORWARD
RCCA remains undefeated after earning a Top 25 National Ranking per USA Today. The remainder of their schedule is absolutely brutal, featuring the likes of Oak Hill, Wise, Middleburg Academy, and VA Academy. How long can this team keep it up?
