The skill set is starting to emerge with the talented two guard. Early this season McGee has hit a variety of mid-range and jumpers with consistency. Shoots it with pure mechanics, elevation, and balance. Also gets out in the transition game where he is a high flier with his athleticism and speed. Rebounds well for his position snatching 50/50 balls. Potential to be a plus defender at the next level with his lateral quickness and anticipation. Should be on the low-major radar.
He spoke about what his role will be this year as a junior.
“Being very versatile. Scoring and rebounding. Doing everything to help my team win.”
McGee broke down his game.
“I can shoot, rebound, dribble, and handle pressure. I think I am a good defensive player on the perimeter.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“Western Illinois, Bradley, Kent State, Loyola, and Northern Michigan.”
No offers yet. Kent State is the one school he has visited.
“It was awesome. Coach Akeem (Miskdeen) is real cool. He showed me around the campus. I really liked it a lot.”
