Continue ReadingHamilton Southeastern has a host of guys that will play at the next level from their senior class all the way down to their freshman class. Jack Davidson is one of the seniors and he is getting looks from multiple D3 schools and has started to narrow down where he wants to go.
The 52nd ranked senior in the 2017 stands at 5’10 but he makes up for that with his release from the outside and his toughness on both ends of the floor.
Davidson says that the three schools that are recruiting him the most are DePauw, Manchester, and Wabash and he has been on a visit to DePauw and Wabash thus far.
This summer Davidson played very well running with Indiana Elite Magic 2017. He felt as if he shot the ball very well and lead the team nicely.
“I continued to improve my shot over the summer. I thought I passed the ball really well and got all my teammates involved, which is a part of my game that I think gets overlooked.”
Multiple colleges have been in on Davidson, and they all admire mostly the same things about him. They like his shooting ability from the outside and how hard he plays on every position on both ends of the floor.
This summer, in order to improve his stock, Davidson worked on quite a few things that he is continuing to work on now. He really improved from last winter to this winter and you can see that in his performances on the court.
“I am always working really hard on shooting to improve my shot. Also, this summer I worked very hard on my ball handling and finishing around the basket, those are places that I have struggled in the past.”
This season HSE is a solid team with some top recruits in the state. If it all comes together, they could and should make a deep run in the tournament.
“I am really looking forward to see how far we can go as a team. We had a really good summer and we have a chance to be really good. I am really excited to see all of my hard work I put in over the summer pay off.”
With the three schools that Davidson is looking at currently, they all have the qualities that he wants. Look for Davidson to make a decision and excel at one of these three next year both in the classroom and on the court.
“My main priority is that the school I choose has great academics. I want a coaching staff that will push me to be a better player on the court and a better man off the court.”
