Continue ReadingKANSAS CITY — One of the Kansas City area’s top up-and-coming guard prospect, Park Hill 2018 Ronnie Bell got the season started in a big way as he was recently named the MVP of the Liberty North tournament after his team knocked off the host squad in the championship game.
A talented shooting guard, Bell is a play maker, a shot maker and plays without fear.
He spent the offseason competing for Victor Williams’ Team Rush and spent the time focusing on rebounding and defending at a high level. That work has paid off this season as Bell has helped lead a talented Park Hill team to a strong start.
“He’s our scorer and he is a guy that can just go get a shot whenever he needs to,” xx said. “His lift is amazing and gets great elevation on his jump shot. Night in and night out he is solid from 15 to 22 feet. He is a great shooter and scorer.”
Bell is also a terrific athlete as he led a talented Park Hill squad in dunks as a sophomore.
Bell says he currently does not hold any offers, but took a visit to Missouri State and watched a practice and a football f=game. He’s also been in contact with Tulsa and UMKC as well.
Bell says his dad has been the biggest influence on his basketball career.
“Ever since I was little he’s been there with me every step of the way,” Bell said. “He is always pushing me to be better in life and on the court.”
A fan of Kobe Bryant, Bell says he appreciated the passion that the former Laker great played with.
“(He) was amazing to watch and his will to win,” Bell said. “I feel I’ve developed those traits in my game.”
