Caleb Middlesworth – 6’8/PF/2018 – Oak Hill – Middlesworth is a 6’8 power forward with a back-to-the-basket game first, who can then turn it around and face up out to three. His jumper is a strong part of his game but he isn’t reliant upon it. He can score with his right hand on the low block but does really well in the high post where he can turn and knock down a mid-range jumper.
Spencer Ballinger – 6’5/SG/2018 – Oak Hill – Ballinger is a tall wing that can shoot the ball with a quick release. He has really good size and a great frame that can fill out with time. He hit some big shots down the stretch for Oak Hill and got them back in the lead late in the game. He scored 24 points on 9/21 shooting.
Johnny Bernard – 6’3/SG/2018 – Merrillville – Bernard is a solid wing shooter that has some size and a little length. He has good touch from behind the arc and showed that he could play in an up and down style a bit. He was really good early on for Merrillville and gave them some depth on the wing as more focus went to the senior trio.
Freeman Brou – 6’5/PF/2018 – Northeastern – Freeman is a well built forward who plays a little undersized as a four man but did well against Middlesworth inside. He has some skill to his game and was good around the basket where he finished most of his scoring. He can stretch the floor and shot 2/2 from three. Great first look at him.
Antwaan Cushingberry – 5’8/PG/2018 – Lawrence North – Cush had been focusing on his perimeter shooting more in the last few games than he ever had but in this one he only took one three-pointer and missed it. However, he was 4/7 from the field and looked a lot more under control, not to mention the entire team was more efficient this game. He does a lot to control his teammates and how they play. So, when he is calm and efficient, the team usually follows.
