Julien Hunter – 6’3/SF/2020 – New Albany – Julien is an athletic wing with good size and strength for a freshman. He got matched up on Little and Wilkes at times and that was tough but he showed some poise. Much of his offense centers around the mid-range and in. He’s a really good rebounder all ready because of his strength and athleticism, getting a good chunk on second chance points. Didn’t see him spread the floor a ton but he looks like that wouldn’t be a stretch for him.
Kadaphi Honaker – 6’4/PF/2020 – Park Tudor – Kadaphi is a lanky forward with a raw skillset. Tough body but lacks a ton of size right now. Needs some help with height but if he gets there, which shouldn’t be a problem, he could have a track similar to Ra Kpedi with Lawrence North where he will take steps slowly. He, when in the post, can make plays, just it is a little slow at this time. He’s a project but one with a good body and a little skill already in the tank.
Brevin Jefferson – 5’11/PG/2020 – Southport – We have seen better games out of Jefferson but the best of his abilities don’t lie in his scoring totals. It is his defense, rebounding, and energy. He only had a two points but his rebounding was stellar and he was put on the ball as the lead guard for the majority of the game, which seemed to allow Southport to run things more smoothly. He’s going to be a really good player one day really soon and if his offense comes along, that could really speed up the process.
Michael Saunders Jr. – 5’8/PG/2020 – Lawrence North – Mike is a super quick guard that adds depth to Lawrence North with lead guards. His perimeter jumper is probably his best offensive weapon right now. He hit a few late against LC this past week and went 2/5 from deep against Fort Wayne North to score 7 points and had 3 rebounds. He plays to his role well and will be able to impact games with lesser talent but he’s a freshman starting on a roster filled with veterans. Want to see a game where he can score off the bounce. Hasn’t had many of those opportunities yet so still a little bit of an unknown in that area.
