What are some strengths you have in your game that make you the player that you are?
“I would say attacking the basket and finishing through contact. Also, I can hit the mid-range shot consistently.”
What are some of your weaknesses that you would like to work on?
“I would like to improve my free throw shooting and on ball defense. I’d also like to be a more consistent three point shooter.”
Who is the toughest player you can recall playing against in Utah High School basketball?
“Stockton Shorts from Copper Hills. He’s a tough match up because how big he is. He’s able to score in so many ways.”
What team on your schedule do you want to beat the most and why?
“Lone Peak. I’d like to beat them because I have never beat them in my career. There in out region so I will have two more chances at beating them.”
What team that isn’t on your schedule in Utah do you want to play the most and why?
“Murray. There an athletic team and would be an interesting matchup for us.”
How do you see your team doing this year?
“A lot of people have doubted us and think we have no chance to make the playoffs. I think we can make the playoffs as a 3 or 4 seed in our region.”
Who is your favorite NBA player and why?
“Lebron James. He’s the greatest player in the game. He always finishes games and gets it done even though people doubt him sometimes.”
What is your favorite moment in your high school career?
“Last game versus Provo, I had 32 points in a win.”
Who has the best home crowd in the state other than your own?
“Juan Diego. They have a huge student section and they are very loud. It’s a hard environment to play in but I enjoyed playing against them.
What is your favorite off the court activity and why?
“Hitting golf balls. I really enjoying to do that and being able to relax.”
Major in for college?
“I’m undecided at this point ”
What is your plan for after high school?
I would like to play college basketball next year. I’m willing to leave the state to be able to play at the next level.”
Prep Hoops evaluation
Ryan is a very solid player at every aspect of the game. He’s a very smart player who can shoot the ball very well when he gets rolling. I think he would be a good role player for a junior college or NAIA program.
