Teams: Concord, Elkhart Central, Elkhart Memorial, Goshen, Northridge, Penn, Warsaw
Last Year: Warsaw pretty much dismantled everyone with a great defense on their way to a 25-2 record and a sectional championship. Elkhart Central gave them a run for their money in the sectional championship but fell short 38-35. Warsaw fell to McCutcheon in regionals in a very close match up.
Contenders For 2016-17: This year I expect the same to have, albeit much less decisively. Warsaw returns enough to stay competitive at a higher level than the other teams in this sectional whereas Elkhart Central once again will be the top competitor for the crown. Look for Goshen to improve a bit but this sectional will be pretty light this year.
Player To Watch: The best player in this sectional is far and away Warsaw senior Kyle Mangas. Look for him to have a huge senior year and lead his team all year long. He can score with the best of them and we can look for him to score at will this year. Mangas will be the guy to carry the load for this Warsaw team scoring wise.
