Region 13- Beaver seems likely to return to the state tournament and make some noise like they did last year. If some of the other teams in the region play mistake free basketball there could be some upsets.
- Beaver– brings back a great team this year with a lot of experience. Any given player on that squad could lead them in scoring, which will make matching up against them difficult. Dillon Smith will be the Beavers leading scorer returning for his senior year, he averaged 8 ppg. The Beaver hope to ride some of that football magic to make a deep state run this year.
- Delta– will break in a new coach this year in Coach Kurtis Topham. The Rabbits always puts together a great team every year that can compete in any region. Coach Topham will return three players that scored 7 points or more in Jr. Trevor Burton, Sr, Daycen Fowels and Sr. Brennan Nielsen. They will have some early tests in the pre-season that should prepare them to make a run at the region title.
- Enterprise– could give Beaver a run for a region championship. The Wolves return leading scorer and rebounder Jo Shurtliff who is poised to have another great year. The question remains if they have enough to compete with a very deep Beaver team.
- Kanab– returns a lot of experience but none better than Layne Anderson and Monte Glover the Cowboys leading scorers. They will have little room for error if they want to make the tournament this year, as they will have South Sevier breathing down their neck.
- South Sevier– is the sleeper in the region, not only do their two top scorers return in Caleb Barton and Buddy Garner they also return a familiar face in Coach Rhet Parsons. They could surprise some people this year after a few under par seasons.
- Millard– will have a tough time replacing Garrison Beckstrand as they will suit up 10 freshmen this year on varsity. The Eagles will need Jr. Jaxon Wardle to not only provide leadership but possible more scoring this year. Millard looks like they will have a lot of experience looking to the future.
