He has a knack for being in the right spot at the right time. His second jump to the offensive glass is explosive! Gets a lot of put back points because of that. Flashes a quick spin in the post from time to time. Like his potential from mid-range as he shoots a good shot mechanically. Moves well laterally on D. Junk yard dog that plays with a motor. Low-major prospect with mid-major upside.
He ran with SYF on the circuit during the summer.
“It was amazing. I had a really good time with those guys. We bonded almost instantaneously. The gelling process was super fast.”
Where did he see his game improve?
“I feel like my face up game and my all around speed with the ball. Getting better with my handles.”
He spoke about having to take on a bigger leadership role as a junior.
“People are looking to me for leadership because I am the only returning starter. I have to take more of a leadership role. Lead in layup lines. Tell guys when they are slacking off. Overall being a better leader.”
Allen updates us on his recruitment.
“I have an offer from Illinois State. Drake, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin Green Bay, and IUPUI are showing interest.”
