As a sophomore Frazier played limited minutes but is now ready to lead the East High Leopards. Frazier had 16 points and 8 rebounds in the season opener against Hillcrest High.
When asked how his team will be this year Frazier said, “I expect us to very good once we get into region. A lot of us haven’t played together in a varsity game so the preseason will be a time to get familiar with each other. I think we will finish 2nd in region behind Wood Cross.” East High lost big-time scoring guard Dacian Spotted Elk to graduation so the Leopards will need to find consistent scoring from their guards. When asked about his individual strengths Frazier said, “I’m a skilled big man who can really shoot the ball. I like running the trail spot so I can hit the three in transition. I can also play with my back to the basket. I’m also a solid passer out of the post and I’m able to find shooters that are open.” When asked about his weaknesses frazier said, “I need to work on my ball handling so I can play from the perimeter, especially at the next level. I’ve really worked on my conditioning and I want to continue to improve that to make me more effective throughout the game.” Fraziers recruitment has begun to pick with interest from BYU, Utah, Butler, Davidson, Montana, and Oregon State. It’s hard to find a 6’9 big man that has soft hands and the ability to consistently hit the three which is a reason for Fraziers high-level recruitment.
