Coleman is up to the challenge though and after a great summer showing he will look to step into a leadership role and a scoring one as well.
Coleman has two offers thus far in the recruiting process with Ball State and IUPUI pulling the trigger on the #13 ranked junior in the state. Coleman has not taken any visits yet but says that he plans to start taking visits once the season ends.
“The majority of college coaches say they like my jumper and my versatility.”
After a successful summer the 6’4 junior thinks that he will be better this year due to the schedule he played in AAU ball. Coleman is also looking forward to playing for Cathedral.
“I had a good summer. I played well against some tough competition. I am looking forward to playing with my brothers.”
Coleman knew that he needed to work on some key things in order to further his game and to take more of a ball handling role while also putting up points and this summer he did just that. Coleman says that the main focus of what he worked on this summer was his ball-handling and his jumper. He hopes this work will put him over the top and plant him firmly on college’s radars.
As far as schools Coleman could be interested in attending in the future he just is looking for a school that has “great players and a great coach”, after this winter season Coleman will certainly find a great program that he fits in with.
