He consistently makes sound decisions with the rock and puts himself as well as his teammates in the position to make the highest quality play on that possession. Slick ball handler that gets in the paint with a tight handle. When in the lane he can pull up for a lethal mid-range pull up or kick to shooters for open shots. Pushes the ball in transition and always has his head up. Priority D3/NAIA prospect that should be considered by D2 programs with how fast point guards are coming off the board in Illinois this year.
The senior spoke about his final run on the circuit with the Illinois Bears.
“It was awesome. I really like playing with those guys. I can drive a lot and we have such good shooters that can all hit threes.”
Where did he see growth in his game?
“Shooting I got a lot better. I got a lot stronger which has helped.”
Wolfe chatted with us about his upcoming season at Effingham.
“I am going to be a leader like I was last year. Me, Jacob (Donaldson), and Landon (Wolfe) are the big three. I think we will be good. I think we will play a lot faster and get up and down the court. Shoot a lot of threes. It should be fun.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“Cedarville in Ohio is talking to me pretty hard. Truman State and UMSL have been off and on. I recently visited Illinois Wesleyan. Millikin and Augustana have been talking to me.”
Cedarville was his first official visit.
“It was really awesome. All the guys on the team I really liked. The coaches were really great.”
Illinois Wesleyan he also visited recently.
“I really liked it too. Really nice campus and a good basketball program.”
Wolfe is targeting a decision after his senior campaign.
