Connor Fulton is ready to get Alta back to the playoffs after last years disappointing season. The Hawks were picked to finish among the top of Region 7 but ended with a 3-9 record in region and a sixth place finish. Connor will need to increase his scoring average of 13 points per game from last year as the Hawks don’t return anyone else that averaged over 4 points per game. Connor believes he is ready to take the challenge.
When asked about his team this year, he stated, “I believe our team will share the ball much better and our talented underclassmen will step up. I believe my leadership skills will make sure there is no let down in region play.” Connor had a nice club season playing for the Las Vegas Prospects and believes he has taken his game to a new level. He commented on his skills by saying “I’m a very good shooter from distance and can score getting to my mid-range game. I’ve improved my ball handling and quickness which allows me to blow by my defenders.” Connor also talked about some of his weaknesses by saying “I need to keep adding weight so I don’t get pushed around as much by bigger players.
Also, I would like to be able to finish at a higher rate when attacking the rim. I think i’ve improved on this over the summer but it’s still something I’m working on.” Connor has received a division one offer from the University of North Dakota. He also has an offer from the prestigious prep school Vermont Academy.
