According to the Orchard Lake St. Mary’s senior, plenty of interest has come in lately, and from a wide-range of programs.
“I have a lot of interest from colleges like; George Mason, St.Francis, Ball State, Kent State, Toledo, Saginaw Valley State, Kalamazoo, Northwood and also Central Michigan,” said Wilson.
“The two that I would think are recruiting me the most are Ball State and Kent State. They are calling me and texting me, and just checking up to see how I’m doing.”
Wilson added: “I’m just hoping to have a great season, me and my team. And hopefully some colleges pick me up because of my play this season.”
With defense and leadership as the cornerstones of his game, Wilson seems poised to have big-time senior season with the Eagles.
“I can score the ball, and I’m very good at getting my own shot and getting my teammates open,” said Wilson. “And what I’m looking to improve is finishing at the basket, especially with my left hand, and then rebounding.”
Now that he’s a senior, Wilson says his leadership will be key to the team’s success.
“I have to make sure we are prepared everyday, and make sure we’re focused and working hard in practice. If we’re not focused we’re not going to get anywhere,” he said. “And I’ll just need to be the leader, a lot like last year, my role is going to be a lot the same.”
