“I have talked to Jamestown, Dakota state, Concordia-Moorhead, Northwestern-St. Paul, St. Scholastica, and Viterbo,” Decker added. “I’d have to say financially, the offer makes Jamestown the favorite. Basketball-wise, I’m really open to anywhere that feels right. I’m keeping my options open.”
HLWW will have to replace nearly 18 PPG from graduated scorer Cole Gagnon, who has since moved on to Hamline University of the MIAC. Decker averaged 7.9 PPG and figures to see an expanded role as a senior.
“My goal is state,” Decker said. “It’s going to be tough with EVW and Watertown, but us seniors have had this goal since the 7th grade. With our new coach, James Carr, it allows us to play a more uptempo type of game and hopefully we can use that to our advantage. I want us to be well over .500 and make a strong run at the end of the year.”
