Is at his best in the catch and shoot where he can spot up and get his feet under him for a quality look at a three. Solid athlete that can change direction with the ball and flashes ability off the bounce. High level D3/NAIA prospect.
Wills broke down his summer.
“The summer was good. We went to a few small tournaments, but it picked up in July. I think I got quite a bit of attention in July and that is when my recruitment started. It went well with my school team in June. We played a lot better competition and won a lot of games.”
He is looking forward to this upcoming season at Benton.
“We can all shoot the ball. That is going to be fun. We are all going to be guards. We don’t have very many big guys. It is going to be run and gun a lot of the season. We have a lot of guys that can spread the floor. We can cut and pass. Get to the rim when we need too.”
What are the strengths of his game?
“I think shooting is a plus in my game. I have gotten a lot quicker over the summer. I think I am guarding on the ball well. I am working on explosiveness and getting to the rim.”
Wills updated us on his recruitment.
“Quite a few D3 schools have talked to me. Manchester, Illinois College, Illinois Tech, and Rose Hulman. Some D2 like Trevecca Nazarene and Union University have shown a little interest.”
One program he visited in the last month has made an impression.
“I visited Rose Hulman recently. I really like their facilities and everything. Their program is really nice. It seems basketball wise they know what they are doing and win a lot of games. The academics are really impressive.”
