Continue ReadingMorgan Park freshman power forward Shon Robinson is one of the more intriguing big men in the 2020 class early in the process. He stands at 6’8” with a very thin build and long arms. He will need to add significant strength throughout his high school career, but has plenty of time. Robinson is outstanding running the floor like a deer. Beats his opponent down the floor on a consistent basis. Finishes around the hoop with dunks on offensive rebounds and dump off passes. Uses length defensively to get in passing lanes and swat shots. Projects as a plus defender. If the skill set comes along watch out! Needs to be on the D1 radar.
How was his summer with the Mac Irvin Fire 14U?
“We did good. We came in third place in Vegas. We could have done better.”
The freshman spoke about his game.
“I would describe my game as a 6’8” shooter. Long and get to the bucket.”
He is ready for his first year of high school basketball.
“I am looking forward to get better and then get AAU season started back up.”
Illinois is one program to show initial interest in Robinson.
