At 6’5” the forward has a great frame that should allow him to continue to grow as well as get stronger. Plays with a big time motor for a young kid. His raw athleticism is outstanding with his ability to get on the glass out jumping opponents. Flashes offensively, but skill set will need to be rounded out. Defensively he is a dynamic shot blocker with timing. Also has the mobility to defend on the perimeter laterally and contest jumpers. Long term prospect that is very intriguing.
Ademokoya came on our radar at the NY2LA Futures Camp this past fall where he was one of the better 2020 in the gym.
“It was great. Good competition. A lot of these guys are tough. I need to get stronger to compete with them.”
How would he describe his game?
“I am an athletic forward that likes to get my teammates involved, score, get rebounds, and play defense. All-around player.”
Going up against one of the top post players in the country Francis Okoro at his high school has helped him.
“It shows you what you have to work on. Obviously he is 6’10” so it is a good challenge. He is a really good player.”
Ademokya will run with the Illinois Irish next summer on the circuit.
