“We have to listen to coach,” said Camp about what his team needs to do to be successful again. “I know we won states last year but we have to regroup as a team. We lost three major seniors. So it’s all about getting back to we used to be.”
Camp recalls being around the game since a very young age, stating that basketball was always something he wanted to become involved with. On this year’s Potomac Panther squad, Camp will be regarded as a leader as one of a handful of experienced seniors.
“I’m trying to be like the glue guy more like getting everybody in order. I like to drive, I’m a defensive type of guard,” Camp said about the type of player he is. “I don’t really look to score too much but when needed I know how and when to score. ”
One area of focus for Camp in the offseason has been consistent execution in 1-on-1 situations. Being able to create his own space and finding others. What can schools who are recruiting Camp expect him to bring to their program at the next level?
“I work hard,” Camp stated. “I have a certain type of mentality that was instilled in me. Always try to be the best I can be.”
