MVP | JIMMY KPADEH | NCA ’19
Jimmy Kpadeh’s reliable play on both ends was instrumental in his team’s winning effort. The sophomore helped his team control tempo with his ability to handle pressure and push the ball in transition. Kpadeh is a good paint getter
PLAY OF THE GAME
6’5 forward Terrance Lewis intercepted a pass and went coast to coast for an emphatic and-1 dunk. The long-limbed senior showcased his athleticism while giving his team tremendous momentum.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | DARRICK JONES | MILLWOOD ’20
Freshman guard Darrick Jones went off for 16 first half points. The explosive lefty guard showcased his high level athleticism in the open court with several dunks. Jones also hit a three from the catch.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | JIMMY KPADEH | NCA ’19
Kpadeh played lockdown defense on the perimeter, both on and off the ball. He used his quickness and strength to frustrate opposing ball-handlers.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | TYRIQ MCADOO | NCA ’18
Neither team went particularly deep into the bench until the fourth quarter, but Tyriq McAdoo had some nice moments for the Eagles. The 6’5 junior forward scored 4 points off the bench.
BEST INTANGIBLES | JIMMY KPADEH | NCA ’19
Kpadeh’s exhibited remarkable maturity and poise for a sophomore. It doesn’t hurt that that he’s been on varsity since his eighth grade year.
BEST UNDER THE RADAR PERFORMANCE | MALIK KENNEDY | NCA ’18
Kennedy led NCA with 18 points, and he scored it from all three levels.Theres a lot to like about junior wing Malik Kennedy. The long-limbed wing showed a nice touch from the perimeter and the ability to consistently break down his man off the bounce. Kennedy has good body control and is a strong finisher in traffic.
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | DARRICK JONES | MILLWOOD ’20
Jones gets the nod in this category as a result of his strikingly impressive blend of production and upside. It’s rare to see a freshman with his type of explosiveness. There is no question that Jones deserves mention among the top prospects in his class.
BEST REBOUNDER | TERRANCE LEWIS | NCA ’17
BEST PASSER | JIMMY KPADEH | NCA ’19
We don’t have the official assist totals, but it would be a safe bet to assume that Kpadeh dished out at least five dimes. He is a very crafty lead guard who loves getting his teammates involved.
