Nojel Eastern to Purdue
The top uncommitted prospect in the state of Illinois has made his call. Coming into the day Evanston’s Nojel Eastern was the only prospect ranked in the top 10 that remained on the board. Eastern has made his choice and he will be headed to play his college basketball at Purdue.
Eastern is a 6’6” positionless prospect that we consider a “point-forward.” The Evanston star has the ability to set others up with a great feel for the game. Never gets rattled and makes slick dishes with the ball. As a scorer he is best slashing to the hoop. Solid handles in the open floor and rebounds well for his position. The high major prospect took official visits to Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, DePaul, and Seton Hall during the fall.
He played with Meanstreets in the Nike EYBL where he earned our Illinois Program MVP for his team. Eastern is the #1 point guard in the senior class and #6 overall.
