SG Dawson Berry (Centralia – 2017)
Berry is a 6’4” wing that has good size and strength for the wing position. He plays perfect in Centralia’s system with his ability to pass, cut, and shoot. Berry is at his best moving without the ball to get open and knock down threes off the catch. He did this throughout the night. Quick release and balanced mechanics. Moves well without the ball. Crisp cuts away from ball on backdoor passes for scores. Can also score in the paint by getting deep post position and playing physical. Not the greatest athlete, but does have quality body control around the rim. He had 19 points. Berry is worth consideration at the D3/NAIA level.
SG John Keeler (Centralia – 2017)
Keeler is a super athletic 6’1” shooting guard with a long and angular frame. He is a plus wing defender that moves well laterally. Skies high for 50/50 rebounds. Not overly skilled at this stage offensively.
SG Jordan Maines (Centralia – 2018)
This 5’11” shooting guard wasn’t afraid to let it fly from the perimeter. Maines has a strong body and gets height on his jump shot. Was a bit streaky, but did make several. He had 10 points.
SG Javon Williams (Centralia – 2018)
Williams is a stud football prospect that has put up monster numbers on the gridiron as a QB. The 6’2” guard has a physical upper body and he knows how to use it. He is probably the top rebounder on Centralia with his quickness and strength inside. Powerful in the paint. Gets to the foul line at a high rate. He had 15 points.
PG James Long (Centralia – 2020)
Long took over the #3 jersey left with the graduation of D’Aaron Owens. The freshman 5’7” point guard didn’t score, but he looked comfortable running the show and getting everyone involved. Made quality entry passes into the post consistently. Active defensively with pressure at the point of attack. One to track.
SF Blake Whittman (Jerseyville – 2017)
Whittman is a 6’2” wing that has a high release point on his jump shot. Hit a few catch and shoot threes with a lot of arc. Good toughness and gets to the free throw line. Not very comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter. He had 11 points.
