It settled into a running clock late in the game as Uplift took a 106-50 victory.

MVP: Toraze Dobbs (Uplift)
Dobbs started out hot and gave his team a huge burst of energy. The junior was strong to the basket and hit some early deep shots that just kept falling. He made five on the day and just was really an all around player for his team.
Best offensive performance: Markese Jacobs (Uplift)
Jacobs showed me a lot of different things in this one scoring the ball. He threw down two windmills in the third quarter and also hit a three on a quick release. He was much faster than anyone on the court and his athleticism helps him out so much.
Best defensive performance: Demarius Jacobs (Uplift)
Jacobs had a few huge blocks and seemed to be in position every trip down the court. He was very impressive with his quick hands and feet as well as knowing his assignment. The senior was a hassle on the offensive end but much more on the defensive end in this one.
Best Underclassman: Markese Jacobs (Uplift)
He was our best offensive player and thus he has to be our best underclassman. He was everywhere on the court and was a blur at times. Very impressive game from the sophomore guard.
Best Takeaway: Uplift is going to be a very good team in Illinois this year. They have the shooting and athleticism to match with anyone in the state. Marimon is a solid team with shooters and a very good big inside, they were just outmatched here today.
