“I’ve been playing since second, started focusing eighth grade,” MacCullough began. “I like to think I play on the inside, but I also make good passes for the team and strong defensive play as well.”
MacCullough is an excellent interior passer. He believes that’s the most underrated aspect of his game. He is a standout in the classroom owning a 4.3 GPA. A host of high academic Division Three programs, including MIT and Haverford are currently recruiting MacCullough.
“Either the four or the five,” MacCullough replied when asked what position he could play at the next level. “In a small lineup I play well at the five. I’m versatile, I can do many things at 6-foot-7.”
Given his size, incredible work rate and feel for the game, MacCullough could emerge as a recruiting target for schools of multiple levels. What can coaches who are recruiting MacCullough expect him to bring to a program at the next level?
“A lot of work. And a player that can just do anything and listen to coaches.”
