Teams: Blue River, Randolph Southern, Seton Catholic, Tri, Union (Modoc), Union City
Last Year: Seton Catholic made it look easy thrashing everyone in their way to a third straight sectional championship. Only Tri made it a game last year with Seton Catholic, losing by just five. Everyone else lost by at least 22 including the sectional games. The second best team in the sectional was Union City, and even they got dismantled 62-38.
Contenders For 2016-17: Even though Seton Catholic graduated the best player in 1A last year, Desmond Bane, they still return enough to be able to take this sectional comfortably. None of the other teams could, in one year, rise to the level that Seton has been on the past few years and that is why I still think Seton Catholic is king of sectional 56.
Player To Watch: Billie Webster III from Seton Catholic could do some big things this year. With Bane gone he should step up into a high scoring role and I believe he can do that. Last year he had some big games and I think that he can do it again this year and be successful.
