It was a solid day filled with the best players from the southern part of the state. We have comprised a notebook on some notes on some of the more interesting players we saw on Sunday. We take a look at some of the class of 2019s.
Matt Dove [6’8 – 2019 – Princeton (IN)] – Dove is really coming into his own right now. Mobility is at a high level and he’s so agile that he can make play after play near the rim even against other size to contort his body into a finish. Should be considered one of the better players in the state starting today.
Zach Dove [6’6 – 2019 – Princeton (IN)] – Zach has the size and muscle to already standout in the low post. Stands about 6’5 right now and really has a good frame that can be trimmed down the next few years. Doesn’t have the agility but more of a physical presence on the interior. Has the mindset of getting into the scrum down low and fighting with a body that can execute.
George Madison [6’2 – 2019 – Evansville Bosse (IN)] – Thin wing with a nice shooting stroke. Pretty athletic with some solid handles. Will need to pack on the pounds over the next three years but has the perfect frame and skillset to develop into a scoring ⅔.
Justin Wallace [6’4 – 2019 – Edwards County (IL)] – Really aggressive wing with great size and handles that will keep him on the wing. Can shoot it pretty well from deep and showed quite a bit of strength the couple times he drove to the lane fending of the defense. Not a really super athletic player but good enough to create separation.
Cade Schnicker [6’1 – 2019 – Edwards County (IL)] – Tall combo guard with quickness with the ball and touch beyond the arc. Showed good handles in the transition game, enough to make plays for his teammates. He was solid off the catch from three where he has a good stroke and enough size and length to make him tough to defend.
