“I’ve been playing since I was 6 or 7,” Collins replied when asked when asked to describe his game. “I’m a scorer. Try to get my teammates involved here and there.”
Collins has grown significantly over the past twelve months. The now 6-foot-2 combo guard can do multiple things on both ends of the court. One thing that most people underestimate about Collins is his scoring ability.
“Probably my shot. People don’t think I can shoot well,” said Collins. “Also my drive game, I finish pretty well.”
Collins admits he will need to work on his defense in order to be ready for the next level. He believes that will come as he continues to grow into his body and add strength. A 3.0 student in the classroom, Collins is currently receiving interest from schools at the Division Two level.
What can coaches who are recruiting Collins expect him to bring to a program at the next level?
“Hark work. Be a leader. Do what they ask me to do.”
