“I would consider myself a D2 or D3 level guy. And the way I understand it, those schools start recruiting more heavily during guys’ senior years,” said Myles. “So far I have several schools that have contacted me; Capital University, Ohio Northern, Webster, Albion, and Calvin College. They all have contacted me and that’s what I have so far.”
“I’ve visited Capital and Ohio Northern, and I’d say those two are the ones that are most heavily recruiting me.”
Myles is focused on helping his team out as much as he can this winter. He says the farther it advances, the better the chances he and his teammates have of being recruited. .
“I personally think that it will help a lot if I have a good year this year,” said Myles. “And if our team can make a deep run in the tournament then hopefully that will help with the recruitment.”
A cerebral guard with with good size and nice length, there is certainly plenty Myles could offer for a college program.
“I consider myself to have a high IQ on the basketball court on offense and defense. And being a bigger guard I can take it to the hoop and use my length to finish. And I feel like I handle pressure pretty well,” said Myles.
“On defense, with being long, I can get tips and blocks and rebounds, stuff like that.”
With his senior season coming quickly, Myles was able to lay out his goals and expectations for the winter.
It will be his third season as a starting guard with the Trojans.
“My role this year as senior is to step-up and be a leader on the team along with the other seniors. And my goal is to do whatever needs to be done on the court to help us win,” said Myles.
“I just want to be a better player all-around, and hopefully I can get some more college interest.”
