Larson scored 15-16 a game for the Bombers last year as they won31 games and earned a state title. Ryan also earned several high post season individual accolades.
Ryan then moved this summer and the experience going from a Class AA school to a Class AAAA program has been beneficial so far.
“I love the change from my old school there’s a lot better talent to help my game out and the education is beneficial to me,” said Larson.
His basketball experience at CDH to this point has been fall workouts.
“To prepare for the season me and a few others from Cretin-Derham Hall have been going in every morning before school and getting shots up for a while,” Larson said.
“After that we play 3 on 3 also to get some game shots.”
The Raiders were 20-8 a year ago with a pretty young team. They have one of the strongest junior classes in the state so they are setting goals high.
“The goals for this season is to go undefeated and win conference, be the most fun team in state to watch and win a state championship at the end,” Larson said.
Ryan had a nice year for the Howard Pulley 16U team playing lead guard and so far the college interest has been quality.
“I talk to Air Force and Nebraska-Omaha the most with South Dakota and Furman following. Most recent would contact be Northern Iowa and then St. Cloud State and also Minnesota State-Moorhead.”
Ryan will soon be taking a visit to a D1 school and he would like to see some other programs as well.
“On November 13 I am going to University of South Dakota for their game opener,” said Larson “I recently visited St Cloud State last Monday and am hoping to go to a Northern Iowa basketball game and a Nebraska-Omaha game as well.”
