“I’m a shooter,” said the Virginia native, who says he’s been playing the game for about 8 years. “I like to say I’m athletic.”
The most improved part of Urbach’s game is definitely his defense. We saw signs of this over the summer with Team Takeover Orange and at BSN Summer League with Woodson. As he continues to get stronger, and improve as a ball handler, we could begin to see an uptick in his recruitment.
“Right now, I have a 3.3 GPA,” said Urbach when asked about his grades.
A host of division one programs, UMBC, JMU, Loyola (MD), Air Force, and Shepherd (D2) are among the schools who currently have Urbach on their radar. Given his strong academic record, Urbach could emerge as a primary target for high academic programs.
What is the biggest thing about Urbach’s game that coaches think will translate to the next level?
“Definitely my shot. My shooting ability.”
Alongside a group of experienced seniors, and an exciting blend of youth on the roster at W.T. Woodson, we expect Urbach to emerge into a key contributor for one of the most intriguing teams in the 6A north region.
