Devon Hannah committed to Augsburg recently, Zach Hanson is likely picking soon, and there’s a good chance that 6-foot-3 wing Fredrickson ends up in that conference as well.
I’m planning on touring Concordia-Moorhead in mid-October,” he told NHR, “and I’ve also toured Hamline, Gustavus and UW-Eau Claire. I’ve also been to an Eau Claire camp and a Hamline open gym.”
Like most WOTN kids, Frederickson valued the chemistry and the skills boost that are often mentioned.
“I had a lot of fun playing with my (WOTN) team, he said. “I found that finishing near the rim, rebounding and defense are my strengths. I’ve been in the gym and weight room a lot to prepare for this winter.”
When it comes to college, “Freddy” values a college with good academics, especially concerning business, and has a tough basketball team. He sees Concordia-Moorhead as the farthest he is likely to travel for college.
“I don’t think there are any new schools I want to visit. I’m more just working on narrowing down my choices right now,” he added.
And his goals for Prior Lake are very similar to other seniors we’ve talked to. Combine Freddy with kids like a much-improved Brian Sitzmann and breakout candidate Sam Nissen, and the Lakers might have a nice year ahead of them.
“Our main goals are to play together and make it to state this year.”
