Multiple lower level schools have seen Painter play and have expressed interest in having him on their roster next year such as Alma College, Franklin College, Manchester University, North Central College, and Waldorf University. Painter has been to Alma, Manchester, North Central, and Waldorf with a visit in the future planned for Franklin. With all this interest before his senior year you can plan to see it increase as he begins his high school season.
Being an inside guy wanting to play at the next level, an important thing that you must work on is your post play but Painter is trying to work in another aspect of his game as well.
“I am always working on improving my post game, but I have been working on my outside shooting as well as working the high post.”
Painter is excited for this upcoming season to improve his game and play with the team at Columbus East.
“I think this season will be really good for us because we are so close as a group and we all know that to win games, we have to play together. This way of playing is more fun and exciting to me, and will make us a better team.”
Painter is sure to have a breakout year after spending the summer working on his already good post game and his future college choice is still very much up in the air.
“I am still undecided (on what I want in a college). I do not think I can see myself being at a huge college. Other than that, I am really open to a lot, I just want to be in a place where I can excel.”
