Good using fakes facing up and keeping the defense off balance when handling the ball. Moves well away from the ball to get open. Displays toughness defending on the interior. Needs to be on the low-major D1 radar.
Strohmeier spoke about playing with Ramey/Jets United 16U which was one of the premier teams in the nation this summer.
“We were always competing with teams. Won a couple tournaments and lost a couple. Overall it was a really good summer and we improved a lot. I think I improved with my getting to the basket skills. Ball handling in traffic and overall strength. Playing a faster pace.”
Does he see himself as a face up four or more of a three man at the next level?
“I would play either, but a stretch four is more what I see myself as. As a three shooting the ball is something I have been working on a lot. Either way would be awesome.”
How are open gyms going in preparation for the season?
“It is going good. A lot of coaches coming through. We are excited for the year to start.”
He updated us on his recruitment.
“Northern Illinois I am going there for a visit to see the campus. Air Force has come to open gym and I am talking to them. Western Illinois and SIU-Edwardsville are there as well.”
