He was particularly impressive in the drill work to start the session. The Bolingbrook senior showed improved ball handling looking smooth going in and out of the drills. Finished every single rep with an explosive dunk. Really like the motor that he plays with. Active rebounder that gets the most out of his ability. Recently picked up a D2 Lewis offer. We caught up with him to chat about the offer and visit to Lewis.
“The visit was nice. Campus was cool. I want to study computer science in college and they have a good computer science program. If I go there it will be good for my education. There basketball program is really intense. They are a lot smoother. Everyone was good at everything. It was another level than high school basketball.”
How was his summer with the Illinois Celtics/Hoopers.
“I think I started off rough, but as time went on I started to get back into my role. Working on my hook, rebounding, and playing aggressive.”
Lawani spoke about his game.
“I am a back to the basket four man. I can take on anyone no matter their size. My athleticism is really good. I can rebound and defend really well.”
