That continued this summer on the grassroots circuit with the Southwest Jets 16U. Hodge is a lefty with a long and lanky frame. Acceleration and feel in the transition game. Crafty in the half court picking his spots. Adequate shooter from mid-range in the stop and pop. Potential as a spot up three point shooter.
He spoke about his spring and summer with the Southwest Jets.
“It went well. I started with them this spring. We are doing really well and are adapting to each other and getting looks.”
How did his sophomore year go at O’Fallon?
“It was a struggle. We had one senior and he was our main guy. This year we are going to look for our young guys to step up and play well.”
Look for him to take on a bigger role this season. Hodge chatted with us about the best assets of his game.
“I am a crafty point guard that likes to get to the rim. If you play back on me I will hit a jumper. I just like to find my teammates and get others involved.”
