Continue ReadingIt’s hard to believe that Bryce Douglas has only been playing basketball for about three years. The 6-foot-2 guard has good size and is very aggressive as a scorer. We saw Douglas with Centreville at South County Team Camp, where he impressed with his consistent ability to put the ball in the basket from all levels.
“I think I’m a scorer. Great ball handler. Decent distributor,” said Douglas. “I like to get my teammates involved and win. I’m a winner.”
Considered among the top freshman in the northern region public school system, there is no question Douglas has a ton of potential as a college prospect. He claims current interest from North Carolina A&T and Towson.
“My defense, I think I’m a pretty decent defender when the game is tight,” said Douglas when asked what one thing does he do on the court that most people don’t realize.
Douglas is still maturing, and improving as a defender. He’s also working hard to improve his shot off the dribble and being a leader. What type of role does Douglas see himself having for Centreville in his sophomore year?
“I think I have to score the ball and get everybody involved so we can win.”
