The 6-foot-5/6-foot-6 Johnson is an agile forward with potential and he will have a bigger role as will sophomores Stephen Kletscher and Garrett Maag who all had roles last season
“To prepare myself personally I need to continue to elevate the weaker parts of my game mostly shooting off the dribble and ball handling,” Johnson said,
“As a team we need to continue to get in the gym as much as possible and develop better chemistry.”
Johnson played with Maag some this off-season with Minnesota Select 17 and Under team. Jamaris enjoyed his months with Select.
“Traveling far away from home this year when we headed down to Dallas was a great experience got to compete against a lot of good competition,” Jamaris said.
“It made me better as a player by pushing me to compete at a higher level and see what I need to improve on when I got home.”
There are several programs that see the potential of Jamaris and are calling him regularly.
“Nebraska Concordia, Upper Iowa, Bethany Lutheran, and Concordia University of Wisconsin are showing interest,” said Johnson.
“I don’t have any currently planned but I plan to visit Nebraska Concordia, Upper Iowa and Bethany this spring.”
