But with his senior season still ahead of him, he’s hoping that his lack of recruitment will start to spike – and he says to get a college degree is the ultimate goal.
“I’ve talked to the coach at University of Mobile, and he said he really liked me, but that’s the only school,” said Foster.
“I don’t have to go D1, but I feel like if I could just get interest from one or two more schools and then an offer from D2 or NAIA then I’d be fine. I think I could definitely be a D2 or NAIA player. It’s all about opportunity, and I want a degree.”
A slasher who is working to hone his perimeter skills, Foster defined his style of play to PHLA.
“I feel like I’m best at getting to the hoop, and that’s what I work on a lot,” said Foster. “But my jumper isn’t so bad, I’ve been working on pulling-up and stuff like that. I can rebound well, and I crash the boards offensively.”
After playing sparingly last season at Catholic High, Foster is ready to show that he can be an impact player with the Bears this winter.
“Last year we had a lot of seniors, so playing time was kind of limited for us juniors,” he said. “This year we have a lot of seniors and I think l’ll be able to help the team a lot. I have high expectations for myself this year.”
