He played for Team Zona under Sal Garcia this past July and had a great experience.
Greabell said, “My July was great, I played for Team Zona, and we had a lot of success in the Vegas tournament. That was my first time playing AAU so it was a good experience for me.”
When commenting on what has he improved on, Grant is upfront and said, “I have definitely improved on my defense and now I think my defense is on a different level than it was just a couple months ago. I am working on strength and trying to increase my shooting range out even further.”
Looking ahead to the high school season, Greabell is excited after coming off a great season last year which featured them in the D3 state championship. “I am excited to see what my team and I can do in a higher division, it will be tough but I think we can pull together as a team and have a great season like last year.”
Greabell loves playing at EFHS. “I enjoy playing at Estrella because our coaches are dedicated and really care about us as people and players. My teammates and I are really close and fun to be around, plus they’re the ones who challenge in practice to get me better so I really appreciate those guys.”
So far, Grant has heard from Portland State, Grand Canyon & Northern Arizona. He also recently participated in the Arizona State University Elite camp.
