Haider also spent his entire AAU career with the Minnesota Comets and he left that on a great note helping them to the NY2LA Final Chapter title, he just grabbed a Valley City State offer this week, and the Comets had a great record.
“I really liked meeting a lot of new people, and being able to play with a lot of really good basketball players,” said Dillon. “The best part of the season was definitely going to Vegas and winning that tournament to end our great season.
“AAU made me a better basketball player by being able to play against high competition and it helped me learn how to play with elite players and be successful.”
Now Haider and Brady Birch are ready to lead Melrose to another big season and spending his daily prepping.
“I’m going to get in the gym as much as possible and try to get guys to play and get in the weight room a couple of days a week!”
In addition to the Valley City State offer Dillon has a few other schools following him.
“Valley City State, St. John’s, St. Scholastica are the more recent interested ones that have talked to me, but briar cliff, Morningside and a couple other division three schools have reached out as well,” said Haider.
“I had a college visit planned at Valley City State next week. And I might go up and visit Concordia0-Moorhead and possibly some other schools in the state!”
