The Fury Kallman squad won 41 of 48 games and brought home more event championships than any Minnesota team. It was a memorable experience for Sitzmann.
“Playing with the Fury this summer was the best time I’ve had playing basketball,” Brian explained. “A bunch of great guys that fit well together on and off the court.
“Some of my top experiences were winning the state championship, hitting a buzzer, and winning the Great Plains Alliance, and beating an EYBL team in Milwaukee.
“The summer made me a lot stronger and confident with the ball. Always made me better so I can score on all three levels.”
Prior Lake is one of the teams that we feel could surprise this year. Prior Lake has a lot of young talent coming through the program plus Brian and teammate Trent West may be two of the most overlooked recruits in the 2017 class and you could throw fellow senior Alex Preston on there too.
“I’m getting into the weight room and trying to get stronger,” Sitzmann said. “As well as trying to get shots up everyday. As a team we have captains practice and playing in the breakdown league late in the fall.”
Sitzmann had a school recently in to see him and he will be taking a visit later this week.
“Briar Cliff just came to school to visit,” Brian explained. “I’m going to Augsburg Thursday. Winona State, Minnesota-Crookston, William Jewel college in Kansas, Bemidji State, Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Saint Johns, and Saint Mary’s are all showing interest.
In addition to what is coming up Brian has been at several other schools as well and has other planned visits.
“I visited Bemidji State, Minnesota-Crookston and Augsburg. I am planning on going to Winona, Briar Cliff, UW-Eau Claire, and Saint Johns and Saint Mary’s. And figure out an official to William Jewel College.“
