Bizeau, Bizeau, and Brens
The one area that Plainfield has a distinct advantage over other programs is their size. The Bizeau brothers, Gavin and Brock, join senior Conner Brens in the front court and make it a difficult matchup with how they will use the 6’10 Gavin Bizeau. Gavin is much more of a wing player right now and Brens is much more comfortable in the post which means teams will still have to expend one of their options to stop the talented Brens in the post and then have to come up with another strategy to stop Gavin. Brock should give them depth in the post at 6’5 so even if they have to pull one of for foul trouble, they can reload quickly.
Development Of Guards Are Key
This is a team that lost four seniors last year, three of which were guards. Now, they will still have some upperclassmen in the backcourt, just guys with limited experience. Jarrett Hufferd, Trey Davis, Luke Gulley, and Tyler West should take over the backcourt and give a few different skills to the look of the team. Hufferd is your true point guard prospect and Trey Davis has the ability to be their main offensive weapon from the perimeter. A lot of options but it really depends on how they develop between now and the start of the season and maybe even how they do after a couple weeks into games.
Should Be Improved Shooting Team
Last season, Max Kurkowski gave this team a lot of it’s production. Now, it should be a little bit more spread out with guys like Gavin, Brens, and Davis picking up the slack. This team only shot 46% from the field, that will improved dramatically with a much better inside presence. In turn, at least the hope is, that the more improved post game will open up some clean shots from three and with more options as shooters this season it will really help boost this offense.
